Today we have had lots of visitors sharing a book with their children across the whole school!

It was fantastic to see so many of you this morning and hopefully we will see lots more this afternoon!

Reading is very important for all children both at home and at school.

Children can receive rewards at school for reading at least 3 times at home- remember to record it in their reading records.

Reception and KS1 children get the opportunity to take home a library book every week that they can read independently or share with an adult at home.

Our children really enjoy diving into a good book and you know this because of their amazing imaginations!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas and Ruskin Infant School visited the Castle theatre and watched Cinderella.panto 18

Adults and children alike enjoyed the performance, particularly the ugly step sisters!

Our very own Miss Young received a marriage proposal from Buttons- she politely declined the offer- having just turned 18!

Three of our amazing children got the opportunity to dance on stage with Buttons. They made us all very proud and even received Christmas presents from the cast.

Of course, all children were well behaved and showed how fantastic our school is!

Our Site Supervisor has been busy building a cabin for Forest School.

We are very excited to announce that it is nearing completion and will hopefully be up and running by January!

We would like to thank Mr and Mrs Thorne and Mr Thongmata for volunteering to spend their free time helping us to make our vision come true.

Thank you to all of the parents who have helped to keep children safe by not allowing them to climb near the building area.

We are buzzing with excitement! Our Site Supervisor is now going to have a relaxing weekend and sleep!

The children enjoyed a beautiful Christmas lunch with Christmas music.

Children entered a competition to name the Dolce elf. Tyler guessed correctly! Sweetie the Elf. Well done!

Some of our favourites were cabbage and cookie.

We raised a grand total of £796.12 at the Christmas Fair! This includes the £91.10 raised by the Friends of Ruskin Infant School.

Thank you for your kind donations and contributions.

We always enjoy our Christmas Fairs and we couldn't do it without all of you!
